About
huVVer.tech is the products division of Vx Aviation. I founded Vx Aviation in 2005 to share information on aircraft construction and electronics design. I have 10 patents and (not including my building crystal radio sets using Galena when I was 11), over 40 years of experience in complex analog and digital systems, semiconductors, and software development.
In my life, I’ve developed everything from electric vehicles and solar energy systems to complex mixed-signal integrated circuits. I started my career at Mitel Corporation where I learned everything I needed from mentors like Bill Kiss, Pat Beirne and Sir Terance Matthews. In 1992, I co-founded PMC-Sierra, Inc., subsequently acquired by Microsemi Corporation, in turn recently acquired by Microchip Technology. Since my retirement and move to Vancouver Island*, I have been developing open-source electronics designs and fabricating aircraft. In addition to the open-source electronics, I do contract development under the Vx Aviation and huVVer.tech brand names. I am also a founder/board member of Iris Dynamics in Victoria, which makes robotic actuator systems for aerospace, defense, and entertainment applications. Based on 200 year old technology, we have patented a new type of electric motor that will change how people and machines interact. Our customer base includes NASA, Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, various automobile manufacturers, LionsGate Entertainment World, a major provider of robotic camera systems, and the world’s largest supplier of consumer joysticks.

*Vancouver Island is the largest Island on the West coast of the Americas. Often called Victoria Island by tourists because of the beautiful garden city of Victoria, it boasts a warm Mediterranean climate, outdoor recreation, world class sailing/cruising waters and a proximity to Vancouver and Seattle.
